The Active Directory System Administrator will be responsible for helping to support the Active Directory environment. The Active Directory System Administrator will have the opportunity to work with Kastle Systems as well as with our customers.  The candidate will perform at the highest level of systems administration and problem determination required to support Kastle Systems products integrating with our customers. As part of our team, you will be empowered to make decisions on deliverables outlined for delivery. In this role you will take customer issues We are looking for someone who is strong technically with the ability to communicate specifications to a non-technical audience.  This position will require travel.


  • Support external customers with Active Directory and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
  • Support external customers with Kastle-developed software.
  • Assist with internal IT systems administration tasks.
  • Complete assigned IT projects to further the Kastle Systems IT ecosystem.
  • Meet with external customer IT representatives as required. Approximately 10%-15% travel.
  • Configure Kastle-developed software on customer-provided endpoints.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company’s pre-employment screening process including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet state licensing requirements for security.
  • Must be able to meet client background and suitability screening when required to access client’s data and/or site.
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems
  • Three years professional experience in a technical role involving Active Directory
  • Detailed LDAP experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer networks and systems.
  • Broad knowledge of computers at the server, laptop and desktop level.
  • Working knowledge of various communications protocols and hardware, i.e. TCP/IP, firewalls.
  • Good documentation/technical writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good typing skills and ability to operate a standard computer terminal and keyboard.
  • Ability to work well in a group.
  • Based on the requirements of the contracts being serviced out of a particular office, US citizenship required.
