Job Description

Urban Alarm, a Kastle-owned company, seeks a key leader to drive the sales, operations, and development for Urban Alarm's security and life safety services. Urban Alarm is a leading DC-based security provider with customers in the commercial, institutional, property management, and high-end residential space.

The General Manager is responsible for client satisfaction and revenue growth of the portfolio, and serves as the primary business contact for the client. The General Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, and represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, the General Manager will build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.


  • Drives and delivers growth of the portfolio in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Responsible for operational and functional performance to ensure organizational standards are being met, and are in compliance.
  • Designs and executes on creative solutions to reach strategic business goals.
  • Recruits, builds, and develops high-performing sales and operational teams with a focus on internal talent capacity building.
  • Provides world-class customer service by developing processes, procedures, and recovery practices that put the customer first.
  • Actively focuses on managing budgets including revenue, ebitda, accounts receivable, and other key measures.
  • Leads project management and installation teams and processes.
  • Provides regular two-way communication and touchpoints between the client and the team, to provide strong team representation, and to set proper client expectations.
  • Collaborates with company founder to provide leadership, vision, and creation of a robust and forward-thinking company culture focused on professional development and retention of team members.
  • Ensures that client issues are handled effectively and efficiently that is consistent with the company brand. Escalates and troubleshoots issues as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources toward a defined plan and growth objectives.
  • Knowledge of electronic security and life safety systems and industry.
  • Professional in appearance, and able to communicate in a detailed and articulate manner.
  • Experience in project management, process improvement, and operational management.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate and present business performance and challenges to upper management
  • Proficiency in business information systems including Google Suite, Excel, etc.
