Job Description

Urban Alarm, a Kastle-owned company, seeks multiple “Installation / Service Technicians” to work with small teams on installation and service of electronic security systems. Urban Alarm is a leading DC-based security provider with customers in the commercial, institutional, property management, and high-end residential space.

The Junior Technician/Helper is responsible for assisting with the installation, service, moves, additions, and/or changes of security systems and/or network systems at our client sites in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the scope of work. This role has the opportunity to work on multiple projects for a variety of clients in the Metro DC areas.

Responsibilities

The Junior Technician is responsible for providing installations, service, moves, additions, and/or changes of security systems and/or network systems at our client sites in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the scope of work. This role has the opportunity to work on multiple projects for a variety of clients in the Metro DC areas.

The Junior Technician will work under the supervision of a senior personnel who will provide training, guidance, and expertise. Urban Alarm provides training, as well as specialized tools.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree perferded
  •  1-3 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills



Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must pass the Drug Test, the Background Check, and any pre-employment tests as applicable 
  • Required to obtain and maintain various certifications, licenses and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state(s) which they are working
  • Clear speaking voice and excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Desire to provide excellent customer assistance.
  • Desire and ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner
