Responsibilities

Candidate will assist the team in the design of customer networks, including switches, routers, and servers additionally,

  • Support external customer networks, including switches, routers, servers, Kastle-developed software.
  • Assist with internal IT systems administration tasks.
  • Complete assigned IT projects to further the Kastle Systems IT ecosystem.
  • Meet with customer IT representatives as required. Approximately 10%-15% travel.
  • Configure new servers and PCs appropriately as required.
  • Configure Kastle-developed software on customer-provided equipment.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company’s pre-employment screening process including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet state licensing requirements for security.
  • Must be able to meet client background and suitability screening when required to access client’s data and/or site.
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems
  • Five years professional experience in a technical role
  • Three years Windows Server experience.
  • Three years local area network design and maintenance experience.
  • Experience with hardware maintenance, operating systems, local and wide area networking.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer networks and systems.
  • Broad knowledge of computers at the server, laptop and desktop level.
  • Working knowledge of various communications protocols and hardware, i.e. Ethernet, TCP/IP, switches, routers.
  • Good documentation/technical writing skills.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Good typing skills and ability to operate a standard computer terminal and keyboard.
  • Ability to work well in a group.
  • US Citizenship required
