Sales Engineer at CheckVideo are experts on our products and services and advise prospective clients on the best solution for their needs.  In this role, the Sales Engineer supports the sales and project management teams for IP video, CCTV and interfaces with third party software and systems. This role works with the sales team to help design security solutions including camera placement, installation planning, cabling infrastructure and network configuration.  The candidate will travel to customer sites for technical demonstrations,  evaluation and site surveys.  Additional responsibilities include scoping and pricing solutions. The Sales Engineer also coordinates the installation of the project with customers and installation teams as needed.

This role requires up to 50% travel in the continental US.


  • Design solutions using camera placement CAD tools and come up with a bill of materials and pricing.
  • Interfaces with sales team and customers to respond to technical questions, and participate in customer meetings and webinars.
  • Be the Product line expert, familiar with the application, interfacing and troubleshooting of all CheckVideo products and cloud services.
  • Perform site surveys, work with project manages and installers to specify a job.


  •  At least 5 years of experience as sales engineer, project or installation manager with a security integrator or manufacturer of video surveillance or CCTV equipment.
  •  Must have deep knowledge of IP networks, firewalls, routers and switches
  •  Experience setting up and configuring equipment such as network video recorders and IP cameras is required.
  •  Certification with one or more video security products is a plus. Network+ or similar certification is highly desirable. 
  •  A B.S. or associates degree in a technical or engineering discipline is required. 
  •  Strong communication and writing skills are a must.
