The Senior Financial Analyst assists in the preparation of the annual budget, monthly financial statement reporting packages, and sales commission calculations and oversight.  The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis and decision support to executive and business unit leadership, and will need to develop a deep understanding of the business and build strong working relationships across functions.  This position requires a highly analytical, detailed oriented, and operationally focused professional with strong data modeling and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting process by partnering with senior management to ensure alignment with business unit and corporate objectives
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statement packages, including business unit and corporate P&L’s, KPI scorecards and productivity metric benchmarks
  • Analyze and prepare budget vs. actual variances explanations, and installation margins by project
  • Maintain company’s sales commission plans, prepare monthly sales commission calculations and research and address inquires
  • Record monthly payroll-related journal entries
  • Support the Assistant Controller in preparation of other financial statement close activities  
  • Provide financial support of the company’s pricing and quoting models
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling, as needed

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting, CPA or MBA a plus
  • 2 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
  • Exemplary MS-Excel skills and experience working in excel with large data sets
