Based upon Kastle’s growth in the market, we are seeking a Senior Vice President, Engineering.  This position is a newly created position for Kastle Systems.

The Senior Vice President, Engineering will be responsible for overseeing our growing portfolio of products and services related to our security offerings that serve our clients in the most effective, efficient and convenient ways.  The SVP, Engineering will provide sound technical leadership for growth through products and services in all aspects of our business. In this role, the SVP will build a technology road-map for all our development efforts internally and externally. This position will communicate with employees, stakeholders (e.g., other executives and regional general managers) and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are fully leveraged and as insight in developing the technology road-map. As the SVP, Engineering you will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer and be a member of the executive team.

The SVP will need to be a strategic thinker and have strong business acumen, in addition to deep technological expertise.  The SVP will be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts, and expected to stay abreast and ahead of innovative thinking in the security space. The SVP, Engineering will have a strong technical vision and be able to foster innovation, drive excellence, and adhere to robust design principles, while promoting a sense of collaboration with the senior management team. This position also requires strong customer services orientation with both internal and external customers.  The SVP, Engineering will manage teams both in the US and Offshore. The role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, situational fluency, personal drive and a desire to serve.


  • Responsible for building and leading multiple teams to innovate new solutions/products and enhancements, while working closely with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure alignment with C-Level stakeholders spanning multiple functions (customer success, user experience, corporate development, sales and marketing, and revenue).
  • Own product/service vision and timeline and communicate strategy and vision for product roadmap both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for being a thought leader and defining a strategy for more efficient internal tools.
  • Enable collaboration across design, engineering, product development, customer success and support, sales and marketing, and platform teams to align them on product features, user experience, visual design, and roadmap.
  • Lead and assist in strategic and tactical planning of IT initiatives in the areas of responsibility, as well as project governance.
  • Manage resource capacity and timelines driven by Business & IT, to include tech subcontractor management.
  • Responsible for managing product helpdesk, My Kastle and KastleVideo support, CRM, CPQ and ERP.
  • Create project estimates and plans. Represent engineering team in project meetings and solution discussions.
  • Prioritize tasks for team to focus on critical items and remove roadblocks / constraints for team to move forward.
  • Responsible for the management of disaster recovery/continuity, enterprise data security, data management and network and communications systems.
  • Ability to manage off shore teams at a distance with multiple visits per year.
  • Communicate the status of technical tasks and initiatives to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop in-depth conceptual and technical knowledge of all current Kastle Systems products and new releases, new products, and interfaces.
  • A minimum of 10-15% travel domestically and international travel.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Reviews and provides various internal reports to management.
  • Implements best practices and sets up procedures and technology solutions to improve operations.
  • Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and the public.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates department staff.
  • Provides department policy orientation for new staff.
  • Performs additional duties as directed by CTO/CEO.


  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Service companies
  • 15+ years of engineering experience leading multiple teams across multiple products and technologies.
  • Experience running off-shore teams
  • Strong team leadership experience
